I have been busy for the past weeks at school. The first quarter has come to an end. With DIBEL's and TRC, this has been the most stressful school year ever. On a positive note I have been working away on Imagine it unit three and some November/December task cards. So be on the look out!

Hitting the Ground running!
It is that time again. In Winston-Salem NC we started here on Monday. This has been the longest best week ever! My kiddos are super sweet so, it was a good week. I am posting some pictures of my sports themed classroom. I just have a few I will post more a little later.
This is where I keep my math games for the kiddos. I keep them in ziplock bags to make sure they all kept together.
Here are my crate seats AGAIN!!!! I love them in the reading center and I think the kiddos love them too!
I must say I love the quote on my door. It screams love and all things chevron!
I named my section of 2nd grade Rice Stadium. My other team mates have Monsters U, University Hall, and Reece's pieces above their doors.
This is my job chart.
And of course the word wall.
Last but not least the prized favorite saying and frame!
And also, I have just started doing daily 5. I plan to use the cutest little anchor charts made my Christina Bainbridge over at Bunting, Books, and Bainbridge
Have a wonderful 3 day weekend!
Be blessed.

Today is rather short and sweet. I just uploaded an Imagine it Unit 1 kit to Teachers Notebook. Just click the picture below to take you to the site!
Oh Yeah...................... I also found these really cute name tags at Dollar Tree! They come in a pack of 15. They have others that are for our little babies and some for the older ones. This one has money, time, number lines, and a ruler on it. Everything we need for common core! The clerk told me these go fast so, get moving! You all have a blessed day!

I teach at a Imagine It reading school so, I am in the process of making the units a little easier for me to handle. I just completed the Getting started unit in Imagine It! It is at my TN store and TPT store so that you can check it out! I will also be posting Unit 1 by the end of the week. click the link below to check it out.
Last but not least....... My favorite old school song
I am Back!!!!!
I am so excited and refreshed since I've had a whole month out of school! I know some people discuss how exhausting rewarding teaching is but I must say we do need a month to recover from the school year. I know this post is lengthy but hang in here, I have some stuff to tell ya!
So this is most my prized possession other than my sweet child.
Okay.... I know it is sad but I fell in love with the cute little crate seats some time go. I never had the time to experiment with making them. I plan to do a sports theme this year so, I wanted to add some cute little items for the kiddos. The cool thing is the tops come off and you can store whatever you want to in there. Here is kinda sorta the steps in making them.
1) First I found the old crates. I chose the ones that are a bit more sturdy so that they would stand some wear and tear.
2) This the part I do not have a picture of. My sweet husband measured the inside rim of the crate measuring length wise and width wise. He added 2 inches to those measurements. So the wood is larger than the crate at the top. We bought wood that was about 1 1/2 inch thick. We then had wood cut in 2 pieces that were the with of the crate and only about 2 inches wide. We drilled those two parts in to the large top part to make sure the lid did not slide off of the crate. AGAIN I APOLOGIZE THAT THERE IS NO PHOTO FOR THIS!!!!
3) I purchased fabric from JoAnn Fabric that was on sale!
4) Then I purchased a twin foam mattress pad from family dollar. They were about $6. I cut the pad to the same size as the crate seat top then placed the pad and wood on top of the fabric. I then stapled the sides with a staple gun.
I already had the stool. It just needed some padding for my tush! So I did the same thing for the stool. And here is the finished product. They are not as cute as others I have seen on other sights but I think they are darn cute!
